Eleven struggling young bands interpret some of Led Zep’s most bitchin’ tunes.

1993 – The Song Retains the Name Vol. 2
1 Bad Livers – Dancing Days
2 7 Seconds – Misty Mountain Hop
3 Folkadelic – Houses Of The Holy
4 When Skip Jack Tripped – Tangerine
5 The Ordinaires – Kashmir
6 Mojo Nixon & the Toadliquors – When The Levee Breaks
7 Helen Keller Plaid – Out On The Tiles
8 Michael Hall – Trampled Underfoot
9 Whyos – The Wanton Song
10 Alluring Strange – D’yer Mak’er
11 Men & Volts – Friends
12 The Dusty Diamonds Featuring The Delevantes – Ramble On
13 Hot Joe – Misty Mountain Hop/ The Elephant Walk (Instrumental Reprise)

An enjoyable tear through the Led Zeppelin songbook by mostly obscure bands. Mojo Nixon turns in a hell-raising “When the Levee Breaks,” but for the most part, the songs are surprisingly country and folk-tinged, which Zep wears very well indeed.
