Can’t Outrun The Radio is a collections of songwriters’ songs. It was born out of a chance encounter during one of Byrd’s tours in 2009 when touring with Corin Raymond where he met to soul singers Alexa Dirks and Andrina Turenne. What started out as passing the guitar around ate one night outside a bar eventually turned into a set of songs that range from sultry, to bittersweet, to spiritual, to humorous, to down and dirty. Most of the songs have that country/soul cross over vibe to them that hit’s that captures a vibe almost lost in today’s music.
