Joe Satriani is one of the greatest living guitarists, having proven his track record over nearly 40 years. He’s not stopping anytime soon, as the maestro has announced his upcoming 16th solo record, What Happens Next, which is out Jan. 12, as well as the 2018 edition of his G3 tour.
What Happens Next features Satriani and an excellent pair of musicians to back him up — Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath on bass and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith on drums. It’s the first time Satriani and Smith have worked together since collaborating in Chickenfoot.
