THThe long-awaited third release from Three Weird Sisters, featuring their current lineup of Brenda Sutton, Teresa Powell, and Mary Crowell. The Sisters’ signature vocal harmonies get a bit more of a jazz flavor.Brenda Sutton, an acclaimed bodhran player, also brings guitar and congas to the mix. Teresa Powell plays electric upright bass, guitar, and the notorious vibroslap. Dr. Mary Crowell, pianist extraordinaire, has also been known to play harmonica and clarinet when the mood strikes her. Gwen Knighton is an award-winning Scottish wire harper. Sometimes, when the moon is full, and Mercury is not in retrograde, and when all of the sisters are on the same continent, Gwen is able to join them, and even more beauty ensues. Three Weird Sisters have played the folk clubs, music fests, gatherings,and conventions near their home base of Atlanta, Georgia.
