Sam Cooper – Long Lost Love (2012)

Posted by on February 2, 2013 with No Commentsas

samLike a faithful lemming or a moth to a flame, singer -songwriter and multi-intrumentalist Sam Cooper joined the scores of young adults migrating to Portland from around the country in January 2007.
Since relocating to Oregon, Sam has performed regularly as a solo act, taken local stages as a bassist with Invisible Rockets, and toured nationally as a banjoist/etc with Horse Feathers.
Coming from a member of gentle Portland folkies Horse Feathers, it should be pretty easy to predict the sound of Cooper’s Long Lost Love. Your guess would probably be right: impeccably warm arrang- ements of acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, piano and mandolin; earnest, heart-swelling harmonies; lovesick lyrics referencing the weather and nature; a little bit sleepy.
