Lee Marcus(fine banjo artists) is currently a solo artist/studio musician/songwriter and the co-owner of Mercy Tree Music. He has played for numerous groups including Wayne Taylor & Appaloosa, Mercy Tree, Legacy Drive, and Blue Streek.
After two years, Mercy Tree retired and Lee went on to play with groups such as Blue Streek and Legacy Drive which both won state championships in Georgia. While playing with Legacy Drive, the lead singer, Tommy Dutton, pushed Lee to put aside his shyness and start singing harmony and some lead. Currently, Lee plays and sings with his and Ashley Stevens’ own band, Long Gone.

Dirty Projectors have announced the long-awaited follow-up to 2009’s Bitte Orca. Swing Lo Magellan is out July 10 in the U.S. and July 9 internationally via Domino. The album includes the just-released track “Gun Has No Trigger”, as well as previously discussed tracks “Maybe That Was It”, “About to Die” (“a Thriller-style song”), and “Swing Lo Magellan” (about GPS systems).Dave Longstreth wrote, recorded, produced, and mixed the album, with input from the other band members: Amber Coffman, Haley Dekle, Nat Baldwin, and Brian McOmber. (Angel Deradoorian is “on hiatus” from the band, according to a press release.)
